About Me

“The only way we can truly live is if we grow.”

– C. JoyBell C.

I have been providing counseling services in Rochester, NY for over 30 years.

I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rochester and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland. I opened my full time private practice in Rochester, NY, in 1994. Prior to that, I worked at the Mt. Hope Family Center as child and family therapist.

I pride myself on having a compassionate nature that allows everyone to feel at peace. I promote healing and self awareness, along with the tools necessary to foster increased clarity. I offer a safe environment conducive for you to grow both individually as well as in your relationships with others. I believe therapy should not be a crutch that one becomes dependent on, but rather empowers you to move through the obstacles that life has presented you.
